Sign up for any of the workshops below by phone (603) 569-5056 or by e-mail swg@worldpath.net include your name, phone number (in the event of a cancellation), address (so we can include you on our mailing list), and the event and time you would like to attend.

 

 

The following workshops are still works in progress; please call ahead to verify and preregister. If there is a workshop that you would like to see or experience just let us know.

March:         20th and 21st : 10-11am Soil amendment with Bill Stockman

                      27th and 28th: 10-11am Tool maintenance and choosing the right tool 
                           for the job: With Bill

                      27th and 28th: 2-3pm  Seeding with Bill; limit 20 people per class

April:         3rd and 4th: 10-11am Veggie garden layout and planning with Bill

                      24th and 25th : 10-11 am Transplanting, demonstration and practice with Dawn
                           
May:           9th: Mother’s Day Open House
 
                            Ask a Master Gardener Program, Date to be announced (TBA)

                            Container gardening with Margie Fogelyn:  Date to be announced.

June:           20th : Father’s Day cookout; surprise for Dads

                   Ask a Master Gardener’s Program TBA

                             Houseplants from the kitchen and eggshell seed plantings with Diane (TBA)
 
July:            4th of July Parade

                        29th : Thursday at 7:00 pm Cows and Communities with Steve Taylor in partnership with the  
                            NH Humanities Council and Dan Hole Pond Watershed Trust; this event is free.

                         15th :  7:00 pm John Carroll presents Pastures of Plenty:  The future of
                             food, agriculture and environmental conservation.  UNH Speakers
                             Bureau and Tuftonboro Library join with us to bring you this free
                             program.  
                              
                           Ask a Master Gardener’s Program (TBA)

August:     1st: 9am to 3 pm Agriculture Day; see our booth at the Farm Day and Ag Festival at the Carroll County Complex.

                           21st : 11am-1:00 pm 3rd Annual Taste of the Garden; enjoy the free feast! 

                           28th: 9:30 am to noon:  Watercolor painting with Dora Clarkson.  In this 2 ½ hour class learn how to paint several various shaped flowers.  All materials will be supplied; class size is limited to 10 so please pre-register early.  Cost of the class is $30.00 per person.

                          28th: from 4 to 6pm canning and preserving with Ann Hamilton of  UNH Cooperative Extension. Demonstration and tasting, bring your questions and appetite.

September: 26th and 27th :10-2: scarecrow making workshop; Create a unique decoration for you home or business. We supply the frame, hay and clothes, you bring your ideas and any special supplies/clothes.

                            Fall container class with Laura, date and time to be announced.

October:    2nd and 3rd  :10-2 scarecrow making workshop. Create a unique
                           decoration for you home or business, we supply the frame, hay and
                           clothes, you bring your ideas and any special supplies/clothes.

                           Pumpkin bouquet; create a beautiful centerpiece, date to be announced.

November: wreaths, swags, centerpieces; almost every weekend

December: wreaths, swags, centerpieces first 2 weekends

 

Ongoing events:  Wolfeboro Farmer’s Market:  Thursdays 12:30-5:30
Tamworth Farmer’s Market: Saturdays 9-12   Ossipee Farmer’s Market Mondays 4-7  CSA Pick-ups Mondays and Fridays 12-5:30
