OUR STORY
Family-Owned Garden and Farm in Tuftonboro, NH
In the heart of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, Spider Web Gardens, a beloved 87-year-old nursery, is thriving under new ownership. Ed and Leah Ronan, who moved to the area five years ago after raising their three children in Franklin, MA, are carrying on the nursery’s rich legacy. Ed, a financial planner, and Leah, a retired teacher, were drawn to the Lakes Region by its beauty and slower pace of life. Their daughter Aubree and her fiancé Paul Glynn have joined them to help manage the business.

Founded in 1938 and run by three generations of the Williams and Stockman families, Spider Web Gardens is known for its vibrant blooms, 15 greenhouses, and friendly, expert advice. The Ronan's plan to honor these traditions while bringing fresh energy and ideas, including community events on seed starting, flower arranging, and a walking trail for locals and visitors.

“We have always loved Spider Web Gardens. It has such a special place in the community, and we want to keep that spirit alive,” Leah says. Already, the Ronan's have been warmly welcomed, with neighbors sharing stories about the nursery’s past.

As spring approaches, the nursery buzzes with activity, greenhouses fill with blooms, and friends help prepare for the season. The Ronan's look forward to nurturing both plants and relationships, making Spider Web Gardens a space where people can learn, share, and find inspiration.
